India’s one of the most reliable brands, Maruti Suzuki has also made-up their mind to launch its new models in upcoming Auto Expo 2014. It is known for its trustworthiness, excellent after-sale services and that’s the reason people wait for this brand to bring new cars and prefer it over the other luxury brands. This time in Expo Mart 2014, Maruti Suzuki is coming with two models which are Maruti New Celerio and the Maruti Suzuki iV-4 concept. While Celerio falls under hatchback category, iV-4 concept is a SUV.
1. Maruti New Celerio (hatchback)
Price:
It is expected to be available with three variants, in which base variant’s price is 3.9 lakhs while the price of top-end variant is 4.9 lakhs, expectedly.
Engine details:
Reportedly, it is going to share the engine of Wagon-R which is a 998cc, 1.0 liter three-cylinder K-Series petrol engine which develops the max power of 67.07bhp @6000rpm and peak torque of 90Nm @3500Nm. The engine is mated with 5-speed manual transmission gearbox and expected to come with automatic transmission as well.
Also, the company is going to equip the diesel fuel in its any hatchback at very first time. This new unit is expected to be a 3-cylinder common rail diesel engine which would launch later this year.
As per the company’s official website, this Maruti Suzuki Celerio hatchback is going to offer the very impressive mileage of 22 km/l.
It is said to be one of the smallest cars of Maruti which is 3600mm in length, 1600mm in width and 1560mm in height with lighter weight of 810/830kg and carries the wheelbase of 2425mm.

2. Maruti Suzuki iV-4 concept (SUV)
The other model coming in Auto Expo 2014 by Maruti Suzuki is the SUV namely Maruti Suzuki iV-4 concept. Here, ‘i’ stands for ‘individuality’, ‘V’ stands for ‘vehicle’ and ‘4’ means ‘four-wheel drive’.
Though the exact price and engine details are not revealed yet but company is claiming that this would be a big vehicle justifying the badge of actual SUV but under-4-meters of length (to avail the tax benefits) and is made-up on the platform of Suzuki’s ALLGRIP next-gen 4WD system.
Its expected engines are 1.3 liter diesel and 1.2 liter petrol and expected to be priced around 10 lakhs.
