Tata Motors has joined the bandwagon of a list of manufacturers that have cut down the prices across its range post-GST. The Indian auto giant has also decided to pass on benefits of GST to its customers. Tata’s recent launches Tiago, Hexa and Tigor have been doing pretty well in the Indian market.
Coming to the price reduction, brands latest SUV is now affordable by up to Rs. 1.04 lakh to Rs. 2.17 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Pre-GST, Tata Hexa was available between Rs. 11.99 lakh-17.57 lakh and now it is priced at Rs. 11.37 lakh-Rs. 16.59 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
The seven Seater SUV comes with touchscreen infotainment system, ac vents for all rows, leather seats, smoked projector headlamps with LED DRLs, LED tail lights, JBL sound system, six airbags, reverse parking camera with much more. In coming months, Tata will launch Nexon SUV which is a sub 4m metre car to take on Maruti Vitara Brezza and Ford Eco Sport.
Commenting on the price reduction, Mr Mayank Pareek, President, Passenger Vehicles Business Unit, Tata Motors, said, “We wholeheartedly welcome the initiative by the Union Government for introducing GST thereby bringing in one uniform tax across the country. This will enhance the ease of doing business and usher in a new era for the economy in general and especially, for the automotive industry. Following the roll out of GST, we have decided to pass on the entire benefit to our customers. We are offering a price reduction of up to 12% range between INR 3300 and INR 217000 depending on the model and variant. With a strong focus to encourage positive buying sentiments, we have taken this step.”
