Honda has been on launching spree this year as after Amaze facelift and BR-V; the Japanese car giant will roll out Brio facelift in India on 4th October 2016. The Brio facelift launch will be followed by Accord Hybrid which is scheduled to hit Indian shores on 25th October. Honda had already revealed the facelift at Gaikindo International Indonesia motor show and it sports similar upgrades to the Amaze facelift. The mule has been spotted at dealerships ahead of its official launch.

In its latest iteration, the front fascia comes heavily altered with new bold front grille, new front bumper with larger air dam housing fog lamps, faux mesh inserts, the front grille wears piano black finish with chrome outline enhancing the overall appeal. No changes have been made to side and rear profile.

Even on inside, the brio carried the design and features from Amaze facelift and BR-V with all black theme flanked by silver inserts on dashboard and steering wheel. It also features piano black inserts, matte black finish inside. There is no touchscreen system on offer, it continue to get same audio unit with support to Aux-in, bluetooth, USB support. The higher grades come with automatic air conditioning while lower trims to get manual AC unit.

Besides you will also enjoy features like Honda connect mobile services, steering mounted audio controls, dual front airbags, engine immobilizer, anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brake force distribution (EBD), seat belt pre-tensioner with load limiters, rear window defogger, central locking etc.

The facelifted brio will continue to extract power from the same 1.2 litre i-VTEC petrol engine that makes 87bhp power and 109Nm of peak torque. The 5-speed manual gearbox will be standard along with CVT automatic gearbox. A diesel powered variant will not be on offer. As far as pricing is concerned, it is expected to fall in the same price bracket. Once launched, it will take on Maruti Suzuki Swift, Hyundai i10, Tata Tiago and Nissan Micra.
