BMW has announced the hike in price of its entire line up of models from Jan 2015 by 5% including MINI, following the same footprints of General motors’ that has announced the increase in prices of its entire range of cars by 20,000 from Jan 2015.
BMW sells a long range of vehicles in India like SUVs X1, X3, X5 and sports car M series, BMW also sells sedans including 1, 3, 5, 6 and 7 series models in India, BMW cars starts from 22.65 to 1.86 crore. BMW recently launched M3 and M4 cope in India, before that they launched MINI 3 door and 5 door version in India which is currently available in 31.85 lakh and 35.20 lakh. All the prices are of ex-showroom Delhi.
BMW Group India President Philipp von Sahr said in a statement “We want to maintain sustainable leadership in the Indian market with a strong brand and an exceptional model range with unbeatable product substance. With the price increase, BMW Group will maintain its premium positioning in the Indian luxury car segment”.
He added “The success of BMW Group India has always been built on long-term thinking and responsible action. We want to maintain sustainable leadership in the Indian market with a strong brand and an exceptional model range with unbeatable product substance”.
In the current scenario, BMW India has 37 outlets in India across Delhi, Chandigarh, Mumbai, Noida, Gurgaon, Indore, Chandigarh, Pune, Goa, Hyderabad, Chennai, Raipur, Nagpur etc. But by the end of 2015 BMW wants to take that number to 50 outlets at least if not more.
