India bound 2016 Skoda Superb teased before its official unveil in February 2015

Spy shots of New Gen Skoda Superb have emerged found testing on international soil i.e. on the roads of Europe. New Superb will make its global debut in Europe in March at 2015 Geneva motor show; India debut is either at the end of 2015 or early 2016. According to Skoda’s CEO Skoda Superb is the best Skoda Ever which is based Volkswagen’s MQB platform.

The already long & comfortable Superb will become more spacious with 20mm length, 50mm width than the current model despite of shedding 75 kg weight and it will bump up with 75mm longer wheelbase than the current car. So with extended dimensions new Superb will offer more legroom and shoulder space plus increased headroom without increasing the roof line.

According to Skoda, Volkswagen’s MQB platform ensures best safety, eco friendliness, fuel efficiency, comfort and connectivity. One can expect new engine options or transmission on offer. Skoda also confirms that testing part has been completed and Superb will be launched in UK markets in mid 2015.

Design element of new Superb is based on ‘Vision C concept’ so Superb might feature LED headlights and plug-in hybrid variant. Apart from that Superb might get LED tail lamps, wide front with vertical lines, Skoda’s logo on bonnet instead of grille same as BMW, 17” alloy wheels, Shark fin antenna etc.

New Superb will come in engine options which likely to include 2.0L TDI & TSI engine and low powered 1.6L TDI and 1.8L TSI could be offered as well. Price of new Superb is also expected to bit more than the current model.
