September has been the favorite month for the car makers as it should because India’s biggest Festival Diwali is around the corner, during those days most people buy new products so car maker sees it as a golden opportunity for launching their new cars and offers great deals and offers on the existing ones.
This month has already seen many new cars gets launch like Skoda Yeti, Mercedes E class, Jaguar XJ and Audi Q3, now its turn of many other car makers to try their luck. Car launches are crucial for car makers as well as People as they new alternatives and better cars to choose from, here are the lists of cars by their launch date-
1. Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4 (22nd September)–
Starting the one of the fastest car in the world that stunned many people with its performance and Speed is now coming to India for the 1st Time to make Indian people its fan.
Huracan will replace Lamborghini’s Successful cars Gallardo which is almost a Decade old now. Huracan fast and powerful 5.2L V10 engine which produces 610BHP of massive power and 560nm of peak torque which is mated with 7 Speed dual clutch gearbox. The express Huracan will touch 100km/hr mark in just 3.2 seconds and 200km/hr mark in 9.9 sec with the blistering top speed of 325km/hr.
If one is buying that luxury sports car fuel efficiency is just not an option for consideration but the information about it will not cost you anything, jokes apart; Huracan will consume 8L/100 KM which means 8.1 KPL. Price will be 3.4 crores.
2. Volkswagen Vento Facelift (24th September) –
Volkswagen is on facelift launching feast after Linea and Polo facelifts Volkswagen is now launching Vento’s upgraded version on 24th of this month confirming our news as we told you earlier. Current Vento is a great car in terms of exterior and interior but unfortunately it has not been shown in terms of its sales. This segment is one the toughest segment as it contains car like Honda city, Hyundai Verna and now get a new entrant shortly Marui Ciaz.
New Vento will be powered with same Polo engine which is 1.5 TDI Diesel engine which produces 104BHP power and 250nm torque, mated with 7-speed dual shift automatic transmission, earlier Hyundai Verna was the only car which offers an automatic transmission. Talking about changes, interior will remain same but some changes can be expected, though exterior gets some new additions like new headlights with cornering lamp and some new paint colors like Polo’s carroty red. Cruise control could also be offered. Price will be around 7-10 lakhs.
3. Renault Duster AWD ( 24th September) –
Renault’s top selling car and Compact SUV Renault duster gets a new Sibling in the form of Duster AWD. However it would be 1 lakh costlier than the current top end variant of duster. Duster AWD will not get any mechanical change it will be powered by same 1.5L Diesel engine which returns 109BHP power and 248nm torque mated with 6 Speed manual transmission.
Interior & exterior changes are expected like new AWD badge at rear, new headlamps, big alloy wheels, black B pillars. Other changes will be cruise control, better fuel efficiency, haldex clutch and keyless entry. It will be priced between 11-13 lakhs.
4. Mahindra Scorpio Facelift (25th September) –
Mahindra is all set to launch the facelift version of its beast and most successful SUV Scorpio’s facelift. Scorpio today released the teaser if the Scorpio and a contest is going on as well. Mahindra have already started taking bookings for the Scorpio through e-commerce website Snapdeal for the sum of Rs. 20,000 which is refundable.
Mahindra Scorpio will undergo some changes like projector headlights, new A/C vents, climate control system, steering mounted controls and most importantly AMT could be on the cards in Scorpio facelift.
Engine will be same 2.2L mHawk Diesel engine capable of producing 120BHp power and 290nm torque with improved fuel efficiency. Scorpio facelift will be available in six variants- S2, S4, S6, S6+, S8 and S10. Two new colors are added which are Molten Red and Regal blue. Price might be 8-13 lakhs.
5. Mercedes GLA class (30th September)-
Mercedes is coming with Compact SUV for first time for which bookings has already being commenced with the sum of Rs. 1 lakh. GLA class will be imported so it is a CBU which might discomfort your pocket a bit; it will be priced between 25-32 lakhs which will take on Audi Q3 and BMW X1.
GLA will be launched in Petrol and Diesel engine option as GLA 200 CGi, GLA 200 CDI, and GLA 250 which reaches 0-100 km in 8.9 sec with the top speed of 205 km/hr. GLA 1.6L petrol engine will produce 153BHP power and 250nm torque, while 2.2L Diesel engine will produce 133BHP power and 320nm torque, both the engines are mated with 7 speed automatic transmission with fine 183mm ground clearance.
6. Skoda Rapid facelift (30th September) –
People are still mesmerized with launch of Yeti’s facelift and now Skoda has played another card in the Form of Rapid facelift which is scheduled to get launch on last date of this month. New Rapid will carry successful Polo’s 1.5 TDI diesel engine churning 103.6 BHP power and 175nm torque equipped with DSG automatic transmission.
Exterior will remain almost identical to current Rapid with minor add-ons like body colored rear view mirrors and door handles. Interiors will get some updations like supreme quality fabric upholstery, two needles stitching on seats. It will range between 7-10 lakhs and will lock its horns with Honda city, VW Vento, Hyundai Verna and Maruti Ciaz.
