Hyundai elite i20 made its debut on 11 August 2014 and bookings for Elite i20 opened on 1st August 2014. New sensational i20 grabbed over 12,000 bookings thus far. On 12th August elite i20 had a record of reaching 4600 bookings. With the kind of features it contains and ownership value one can expect many records to be broken by Elite i20.
The Elite i20 is equipped with two trims of engines; one is 1.2L Kappa petrol engine generating 82BHP power and 115nm torque and 1.4L U2 CRdi Diesel engine with 89BHP power and 220nm torque. Diesel trim is mated with 6 speed Manual transmission and Petrol trim with 5 speed manual transmission.
Elite i20 comes with ERA, MAGNA, Sportz, Sportz (O), and ASTA variants for both Petrol and Diesel variants.
Rakesh Srivastava, Senior Vice President (Sales & Marketing), Hyundai India had earlier said, “This year our target for sales in domestic market is 4.10 lakh units. Last year we had sold 3.8 lakh units in the domestic market. The past three months have seen improvement in customer sentiment resulting in better sales in the automotive segment.”
Elite i20 is loaded with bouquet of Features like 2- DIN music system with 1GB internal memory, Auto folding OVRM’s, automatic air control, dual airbags, automatic headlamps, Rear A/C vents, start stop button, Automatic headlamps, rear parking sensors with sensors, steering mounted controls and 16” diamond alloy wheels.
Petrol variant is priced between Rs. 4.89-6.46 lakhs while Diesel variant comes between the price range of Rs. 6.09 lakhs to Rs. 7.66 lakhs Ex- showroom Delhi.
Hyundai elite i20 making hatchback competition more intense as it will compete against the recently launched Punto EVO, Volkswagen Polo and upcoming Maruti’s facelift version of Swift.
