Volkswagen, a Japanese car maker has launched the India built Vento sedan in Philippines market. Company has given this sedan a new name ‘Polo Notch’ for the Philippines people. After making its debut in the Philippines market, its VW’s third model which has been launched there by VW’s distributor, Automobile Central Enterprise Inc. (ACEI).
Price:
As reported, the Indian built Polo Notch is launched in Philippines with the price tag of 950,000 Philippines Pesos i.e. approx 13.2 lakhs in (Indian rupee). With this price tag, the Polo Notch has become the VW’s most affordable car in Philippines.
Engine details:
This trendy India-built sedan has been launched there only with its highline variant which is powered by 1.6 liter TDI diesel unit developing max power of 104bhp and peak torque of 250Nm and also mated with 5-speed manual transmission gearbox.
Interior & Exterior:
The premium features available in this highline variant sedan are dual airbags at front, 15 inches alloy wheels, four speakers, music system along with single CD player, USB and Aux-in and expectedly many more.
This VW’s Made-in-India Polo Notch is said to be exported from VW’s Chakan plant, Pune to Philippines.
JP Orbeta, president of ACEI said on this launch in Philippines, “Volkswagen has always been known as the People’s Car, and now with the introduction of the Polo Notch, the possibilities of owning a fine German car with the latest in technological advancements become more attainable for the Filipino.”
