Founded in 1958 and pioneers in MUVs, LCVs, Tractors, Buses, HCVs ever since, the then Firodia Tempo Ltd aka Bajaj Tempo Ltd and now Force motors, entered the personal vehicles segment in the market on 19 August 2011 with its premium and only SUV product, the Daimler-merc driven Force One. And it never ever bothered to stop and look behind.
With the company growing its roots, now in personal driving market, has achieved a recent benchmark on 29 August 2013 with the official launch of two new variants of the Force One, EX and SX, which earlier was available only in a single variant.
The EX is the base model of the range, pumped up with a 2.6 litre, BS 3 complaint diesel engine, same as in the new Gurkha, digging out 82 Ps of power and 230 Nm of torque.
Where on the other hand, the SX is the top of the line variant with a 2200 FM Tech, BS 4, 2.2 litre turbocharged engine churning out a decent 141 Ps and 321 Nm of torque.
Both the cars will sport a newly developed Synchromesh Gearbox with dual flywheel for easily operational and efficient power shiftings. Design elements and the profile will remain the same but the base variant will miss those body colored bumpers and ORVMs, daytime running LEDs, fog lamps, alloy wheels, roof rails and in-cabin chrome work, which all will more suitably be there in the SX variant.
The SX variant will also be plugged-in with an advanced ABS system with EBD, DRL and an active cruise control programme. And an optional leather seating trim will add more finesse of class to the vehicle with large dash as before and faux wood trims on that. With a centre console comprises of AC controller, Bluetooth telephony and AUX/USB driven audio system, the car will be ever classy.
Both the variants have their charms and progressive notes where the EX version will target the mob residing in the non-urban or rural regions while the SX with its huge feature list and advancements will entertain mostly the urban league of people.
Both the variants will again be available in optional 6 or 7 seater cab-in. And the costing will be kept as low as 9.21 lacs for base EX, while the SX splits into 4 further trims, ranging from 11.91-12.27 and depending on cab-in capacity and other optional features. And keeping the costing at such low mark, rivals in the category will be threatened directly, for sure!

With such deliverance at really low costing, an advantage of the Daimler derived engines, we believe the vehicle is gonna make its worth count and we will still wait for that top-end 4WD LX variant, which the company plans to throw in to the market, with the beginning of the next year.
