The Automotive world have been witnessing 2016 MPV Innova images from quite some time which is scheduled to be showcased next year in India and to go on sale in 2016. It is for the first time that Innova has been spied testing on Indian roads and it will be huge launch for Toyota as it will take on modern MPVs Honda Mobilio which is selling like cup cakes and Maruti Ertiga which is also enjoying a good run in the market and soon to be launched Renault Lodgy.

The New Innova comes with an aggressive look boxy face front fascia with large headlamps with LED daytime running lights like Corolla Altis; large grille and redesign bonnet. By the looks of it new Innova is looking like a SUV than a MPV. Side profile design also gets some changes over ongoing model.

Rear side of new Innova will get some changes in the form of redesigned tail lamps, roof spoiler, new tail gate design and revamped windscreen to have airy cabin. New Innova will be based on TNGA (Toyota new Global architecture) platform which looks better in design than current Innova which is based on Hilux platform.

Other changes that will make their way in new Innova are dual airbags, reversing parking camera, climate controls, bluetooth mounted audio system and a multi function steering wheel. There is no confirmation about the engines but there are rumors that Innova will feature with more powerful diesel engines with more fuel efficiency and less CO2 emission. Toyota is also developing an automatic transmission gearbox.

According to Mr. Michinobu Sugata, President, Toyota motor Philippines Corp, “Toyota is not expected to make any changes to the chassis of the MPV but the body-panels, engines and transmission options and other underpinnings will be vastly different as compared to the current model”.
