Ahead of its global premiere at the 2016 Detroit Auto Show (NAIAS), Mercedes-Benz has officially revealed the interiors of new GEN E-class via few images and a Video. As expected, new E-Class shares its design with current S-Class and C-Class. Interiors of new E class certainly look revolutionary replacing the ageing button infested layout. The new Merc is aiming to set a new benchmark in the crowded luxury car segment.
The new model promises a lot at a first glance with class leading design and premium contingent. Going by the images, it flaunts a big screen instrument cluster featuring two displays with one being a 12.3 inch screen having resolution of 1920 x 720 pixels and another a 8.3 inch diagonal screen with resolution of 960 x 540 pixels.
Just below the Floating dashboard is a COMMAND infotainment online system for the convenient use of 3D map navigation function and mobile internet connectivity. The new cabin seems to be completely driver centric as it comes with three different themes- Classic, Sport and Progressive.
Other noteworthy features include a analogue clock with color display, four round air con vents, ambient lighting with 64 color options adding touch lights on the dashboard, overhead console, door pockets, front-rear foot wells etc. For entertainment you get Burmester 3D surround sound system with 23 speakers and new steering wheel with touch sensitive buttons, new seats with extra bolstering and premium leather upholstery.
Along with the revealing of the interiors of next Gen E-class, the optional multi beam LED headlamp system with 84 individual LED bulbs for each headlamp and all LED tail-light system with a Stardust reflection.
The 2016 Mercedes E-Class is expected to be unveiled in its sedan in the coming weeks followed by Wagon, Coupe and convertible later on.
