Hyundai Verna was the most successful car in the segment until City has takeover from it and now Ciaz is also giving a stiff competition to Verna. Hyundai Verna facelift was spotted testing during last month which confirmed that Korean company is working on the facelift version of Verna to tackle the hard competition of new City and Ciaz. But latest information we got from our sources is that, it was caught testing without any camouflage on Indian roads.
Verna is also known as Solaris in China and Russia is already ruling the road there and expected to launch in India by first quarter of 2015. New Verna will come with more cosmetic changes than the interior one; there are plenty of exterior changes in facelifted Verna like-
- Larger eagle eye shaped headlamps with Projector LED lights
- New Dual slat chrome front grille
- Redesigned fog lamps with LED strip over them
- Fresh rear bumper with integrated reflectors

Mechanically Hyundai Verna will continue to be offered in 1.4L petrol and 1.6L diesel engine which are coupled to 5 and 6 speed manual transmission and it might get 6 speed automatic gearbox replacing 4 speed AT. Interiors of new Verna will be moreover same like dual tone dashboard, start/stop button etc but the central console could get 7 inch touchscreen infotainment system with satellite navigation system, apart from that interiors are almost similar as the current Verna.
Hyundai is also testing the i20 crossover along with Verna facelift, New Verna expected to remain in the price bracket of Rs. 7.5-11.5 lakhs.
