The German Sports car maker Porsche launches the GTS (Gran Turismo Sport) variants of its highly enjoyable Boxster S and Cayman S Sports cars, priced at Rs. 1.15 crore and Rs 1.17 crore (ex-showroom Delhi). This for the first time ever that Porsche has extended the GTS principle to the two of the models; Porsche had initiated GTS series in 1963 when they launched Porsche 904 GTS.

Both the cars are fitted to a same 3.4L six cylinder petrol unit but both the engines have been tuned to deliver more power and torque. In Boxster GTS this engine delivers 325bhp power and 370Nm of peak torque while the same power plant in Cayman GTS makes 335bhp power and 380Nm torque. Both the cars are mated to a seven speed PDK gearbox and sport plus mode.

The Boxster GTS can perform a 0-100km sprint in 4.7 seconds and goes up to 279 Km/hr whereas Cayman GTS goes form standstill to 100km in 4.6 seconds with the top speed of 283 KM/hr.

Apart from powerful engines both the models come with various standard features such as sports Chorno package, PTV, dash mounted stopwatch, PASM active suspension which provides driver choice of sportier and comfortable settings by  just pressing a button.

Both models have been modified from front and rear ends like front gets blackened bi-xenon headlights with PDLS (Porsche dynamic light system), black inserts on front bumper, 20 inch Carrera S alloy wheels, black shade sport exhaust pipes, Gloss black GTS badge and LED tail lights are some major highlights of the models.

The interior is characteristically Porsche with Alcantara leather on seats, roofline, A-pillars and dashboard, carbon fiber on dashboard and central console, standard sports seats, headrests with GTS logo, 7-inch touchscreen CDR audio system with RDS and 30 memory presets, USB port for connecting external devices provided in glove compartment.
