And the wait is over finally! Honda has launched its one of the most awaited cars and its very first model in MPV segment…the Mobilio! As per our expectations and company’s smart strategy, the price range this new trendy MPV carries is very competitive. As per the company, the grand concept of the Honda Mobilio is “Progressive Private Jetliner” with core elements of Show-off, Comfort and Assurance. Let’s have a look in detail.
Honda Mobilio is priced at affordable range which is 6.49 lakhs, 7.50 lakhs and 8.76 lakhs of the petrol E, S and V trims respectively.
Contrary, the E, S, V and RS trims of diesel model are priced at 7.89 lakhs, 8.60 lakhs, 9.76 lakhs and 10.86 lakhs respectively.
Honda Mobilio will be in three grades namely E, S and V in both petrol and diesel trims while the sporty RS variant will mark its presence in only its diesel model.
As we reported earlier, the Mobilio is sharing the engine of Honda’s popular sedan City. These engines are 1.5 liter i-VTEC petrol and 1.5 liter i-DTEC diesel. While the petrol model is developing max power of 117bhp and torque of 145Nm, its diesel engine is responsible to produce 98bhp and 200Nm of max output and torque.
The engines of Mobilio are geared up with a 5-speed manual transmission gearbox.
Honda is claiming its Mobilio to be most fuel efficient MPV of its segment and it is offering 17.3km/l in petrol trim and 24.2km/l in diesel.
Space & Dimension:
This all new MPV Mobilio is 4386mm long, 1683mm wide and 1603mm tall. It carries wheelbase length of 2652mm and boot capacity is of 223 liters which can be further extended up to 521 liters by folding down the third row seats.
It gets segment-best ground clearance of 189mm and min. turning radius of 5.2m (both figures are for petrol variants).
The base concept of its interior designing is prime comfort and the Mobilio is made as per the philosophy of “Man maximum, Machine Minimum”. The seats of this trendy MPV get slide adjustment as well as reclining adjustment. Apart from that, it is armed with two-tone color schemes in beige coordinated with an elegant black with silver trim for the arm rests, instrument panel and centre console.
Its exterior design is tough & sporty based on Dual solid motion concept. The Mobilio gets modified front grille, sharp spoiler, character line on the side, lightning-bolt belt line and R15 10 spoke alloy wheels.
The sporty variant RS of Mobilio is the main attraction of this car which is designed with features like dynamic front and rear bumper, Projector headlamps with LED position lamps, attractive alloy wheel design, sporty chrome grille, stylish tailgate spoiler, side sill garnish, retractable ORVM with turn indicators and chrome exterior door handles.
It is available in seven exciting colors which are Brilliant Gold Metallic, Carnelian Red Pearl, Majestic Blue Metallic, Urban Titanium Metallic, Alabaster Silver Metallic, Taffeta White and Crystal Black Pearl.
On the grounds of safety, the Honda’s cars are known for practical and safe life. The Mobilio is equipped with safety devices like front dual SRS airbags, anti-lock brake system (ABS) preventing wheel lock during sudden braking, electronic brake distribution (EBD) enhancing braking performance, Pretentioner seat belts with load limiters and impact mitigating headrests. It is also armed with Pedestrian injury mitigation technology which is designed to absorb impact energy.
