New Audi Q7 to launch in India on 10th December 2015

The Audi Q7, one of the most popular SUV in the premium segment is all set to get launched in a new Avatar in India on 10th December 2015. Since its introduction in 2005, Q7 has been the favorite car for several celebrities and politicians in India. The all new Audi Q7 was first showcased at the Detroit Auto Show 2015 followed by its global launch in Malaysia. 2016 Q7 has already created buzz in the market with its refreshing design.

The Flagship SUV is said to be 300kg lighter than its predecessor thanks to the extensive use of lightweight aluminum materials. The new model is 37 mm shorter, 15 mm less wide and has a 12mm shorter wheelbase as compared to current model. So the new dimensions of 2015 Q7 are 5050mm length, 1970mm width and carry a wheelbase of 2990mm. Though the new model is tad smaller but longer wheelbase would help in providing decent space inside the cabin.

For starters, changes on the outside include a tweaked silhouette with new arrow shaped LED DRLs, sporty front-rear bumpers, chrome plated hexagonal front grille, new tail light cluster, sharp LED reflectors and two trapezoidal exhaust pipes replacing the roundish. Overall these changes give new model less bulky more aggressive stance.

To be available in a single fully loaded variant, the true blue SUV gets much more improved cabin ambience than the current model. To give it the premium and neat look, Audi has loaded new Q7 with a 12.3 inch virtual cockpit virtual screen with 1440×540 pixel resolution, advanced MMI infotainment system with MMI torch and touchpad with handwriting recognition, 19 speakers Bose surround system, 360 degree camera, Panoramic sunroof, four zone automatic climate control, electric folding third row seats, leather seats with adjustability function, air suspension and many more.

The new Audi Q7 45 TDI New Q7 to be powered by a 3.0 TFSI supercharged V6 engine that delivers max power output of 268bhp and torque of 440Nm@2900-5300rpm. Power is sent to all wheels via 8-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission and Audi’s Quattro all wheel drive system. The power engine helps new Q7 to make 0-100 sprint in 6.3 seconds with the top speed of 250km/hr.

The 2016 Audi Q7 is expected to come with a price of Rs. 80-90 lakh (ex showroom) and will take on the likes of BMW X5, Land Rover discovery sport and Volvo XC90.
