Jaguar launches XF Aero-Sport edition in India at Rs. 52 lakh

Tata owned Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) today has launched the special edition of XF saloon christened as Aero Sport in the country at a sticker price of Rs. 52 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai Pre-Octroi). The special edition will be available for sale this month at all 21 authorized dealerships across the country. This new variant comes with some exterior enhancements over the standard XF range.

Talking about the exterior changes, the XF Aero Sport gets R style side sills, sporty front bumper, black finish on wide front grille with chrome outlining, 17 inch Libra alloy wheels and a rear spoiler. Apart from these features, it continues to flaunt skinny headlamps with LED DRLs, Y shaped fog lamps, OVRMs with LED blinkers and unique pattern shaped LED tail lights makes the XF sporty.

The Jaguar XF Aero-Sport is available in four body paint colors– Ultimate Black, Sapphire Blue, Odyssey Red and Polaris White.

On the inside, the new edition is bestowed with panoramic electric Sunroof, front passenger seat away function, seven inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation. Interiors are flawlessly customized with real wood veneers, contemporary aluminum surfaces and supple leather. Other features include blue Halo illumination light in the cabin, 420 liters of boot space, automatic climate control, sporty steering wheel with mounted controls and illuminated sill plates.

The Aero-Sport limited edition gets the power from same 2.2L diesel mill that develops 188bhp power@3500rpm and 450Nm of peak torque@2000rpm, linked to an 8-speed automatic gearbox transmitting power to rear wheels. The engine can perform 0-100 km sprint in just 8.8 seconds with the top speed of 225 km/hr. The car delivers great performance without compromising on fuel efficiency as it returns 16.34 KMPL of mileage.

The new XF saloon is scheduled to be launched in 2016 which was recently revealed at New York auto show. The 2016 Jaguar XF will be 120kg lighter than the current model as it uses aluminum intensive platform.
