Jaguar launches XE Prestige variant in India at Rs. 43.69 lakh

Jaguar India has introduced the third petrol variant in XE luxury sedan line-up, priced at Rs. 43.69 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai). The new variant will sit between the base pure trim and top end Portfolio variant priced at Rs. 39.9 lakh and Rs. 47.99 lakh respectively. The Prestige trim will be available to but alongside the other two at 23 authorized Jaguar dealerships across the country. To be assembled at JLR’s Chakan facility, it will compete with Volvo S60, BMW 3 series, Audi A4 and Mercedes C-Class.

The XE prestige variant is powered by a 2.0 litre petrol engine that belts out 197bhp of max power@5500rpm and high torque of 320Nm@1750rpm. The engine is clubbed to an 8-speed automatic gearbox and delivers an impressive mileage of 13.06kmpl. The engine propels car to make 0-100 km in just 7.7 seconds while offering the top speed of 237km/hr.

There is no change in the design of the variant as it continues to flaunt the elegant conventional design of Jaguar. The prestige trim is packed with luxury and comfort features like driver side seat with memory function, interior mood lighting, meridian 380W surround sound system, rear view camera, Taurus leather upholstery and In control touch which is a one touch access of climate control, audio and navigation.

The sedan is packed with some advanced technologies such as all surface progress control (ASPC) which is a low speed cruise control and Electric powered assisted steering (EPAS).
