Ford Figo Facelift

Ford has launched the next gen Figo in Brazil market on 28th July 2014 and soon it’s going to hit the floor of Indian market as well. This 2015 version of Figo is named as ‘Ka’ for Brazilians while in India, it will be known as ‘Figo’ itself. Company will build this Ka hatch as next gen Figo for the Indian market in its plant at Sanand in Gujarat and probably will launch it here sometime in next year i.e. in 2015.

Price:

The two variants of Ka (next gen Figo), in Brazil market, have priced at around 9.52-10.76 lakhs as per INR. While in India, the ongoing Figo is available at much reasonable price range and we expect the same with this facelift version as well. The ongoing Figo, in India, costs between 3.86-5.99 lakhs.

Engine details:

Ford has equipped only a 1.0 liter 3-cyl petrol mill in its new Ka hatchback. This engine will develop the max power and torque of 85bhp and 105Nm respectively and mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

However, for India, company might equip the same engines in next gen Figo like the ongoing one. The ongoing Figo runs through a 1.2 liter petrol and 1.4 liter diesel engines which derive 70bhp and 68bhp of max power respectively. Both the engines are mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox in India as well.

Interior & Exterior:

The Ka (next gen Figo) has been designed by using Ford’s new design philosophy where the car is getting an Aston-Martin like trapezoidal shaped front grille, swept back headlamps, 15-inch alloy wheels etc.

Its interior theme resembles the Ford’s new models cabin like Fiesta’s and EcoSport’s. The car is getting some trendy features like electric power steering, tilt-adjustable steering, power windows, music system along with Bluetooth & USB, Ford SYNC system, height adjustable driver’s seat and 3-spoke multi-functional steering wheel etc.

CarZoom’s take:

Figo is one of the successful cars of Ford in India, we really like its glimpse, engineering and price as well. The update Figo seems impressive and will surely bring hike in numbers of its sales in country. Stay tuned for more updates.
