Speculations about the launch of K10 is being around from quite some time now, early there were rumors about K10 will launch in January 2015 but today we got this confirmed news smashing all the rumors aside that the Maruti will launch K10 AMT on 3rd November 2014 in New Delhi. Maruti is on a roll this year first they launched Celerio than Ciaz Sedan and now Alto K10, Maruti might end this year with the of Dzire facelift version.

Facelift nowadays has become a common platform for car manufactures to launch their products with just some cosmetic changes but Alto k10 will have some different. K10 will not carry some cosmetic changes but with some mechanical alteration as well. In the recent time we have seen Alto k10 being tested on Indian roads and bookings of it has already been started for the Sum of Rs. 10,000.

Maruti Alto sales has been not up to expectation in recent times So Maruti thought that being different would not be enough to boost up the sales, So they have done something unique by bringing the AMT version and Alto k10 will be a first car to have an automatic version in such affordable price range.

Maruti Alto K10 will be power to a trusted 1.0L petrol engine which is responsible to give 67.1BHp power and 90Nm of peak Torque. The K10 will be coupled with 5 speed manual as well an AMT gearbox we might see an improvement in fuel efficiency of K10 which might be around 24.07 KPL mileage for both manual and AMT version. The alto K10 will be available in CNG option as well with excellent mileage figures of 32.36 km/kg.

What to expect from new Alto K10:

Now let’s talk about what kind of changes k10 will carry starting from the front which will be completely different from what we have seen on Alto k10 current version. Front of new Alto K10 now gets new front grille with single chrome line, bigger swept headlamps, silver shade fog lamps surrounded by dark black plastic element, side will have new body colored ORVM’s, door handles, door protection moldings and 13 inch wheels. At rear with redesigned bumper, tail lights etc.

Inside the cabin, Alto k10 will have two tone black beige upholstery, central console with piano black finish and integrated audio system, precise instrument cluster, three spoke steering wheel with driver airbag, central locking, front power windows etc. Alto K10 will take on Datsun go, Hyundai Eon and Maruti Celerio. Price of Alto K10 will be between Rs. 3.3-3.8 lakh.
