Audi has expanded its flagship Q7 range in India with the launch of a petrol motor. Badge as 40 TFSI, the SUV has priced at Rs 67.76 lakh for the premium plus variant while technology trim is priced at Rs. 74.43 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom). The Petrol variant will join the diesel line up which was launched in 2016 and will take on Mercedes-Benz GLS, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Land Rover Discovery Sport and BMW X5.
The Audi A7 40 TFSI is powered by a 2.0l TFSI petrol engine that makes 248bhp power and 370Nm of torque. It sends power to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission and Audi Quattro AWD system. The SUV can hit a ton from a dead still in just 6.8 seconds with a top speed of 233 km/hr. It comes with massive 75 litres fuel tank and can offer 11.68 Kmpl of mileage.
In terms of design, it shares a similar element with the diesel motor except for the badging. It continues to flaunt familiar single frame grille flanked by Matrix LED headlights, low ride height, 19-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels, dynamic LED tail lights with directional indicators and twin exhaust pipes making it muscular and sharper.
For features, it offers similar to diesel counterpart such as four-zone auto climate control, electronically controlled air suspension, Panoramic Sunroof, Audi Virtual cockpit, 360 degree surround view camera, 12.3 inch touchscreen system with onboard GPS, MMI plus navigation and Smartphone connectivity, 3D sound system, 8 airbags, Audi Parking system plus, rear view camera, ABS, emergency brake assist, hill descent control and ESC etc.
