Audi had launched new Generation A4 in September last year with a downsized 1.4l Turbocharged petrol engine which took all of us by surprise. The A4 sold in international markets is Euro VI while for India Audi engineers needed time to make engine BSIV complaint, available in India.
Now company plans to launch diesel variant of the sedan this month which will surely expand its appeal. The diesel variant is powered by a 2.0 litre EA288 engine that is good for belting out max power of 190bhp, means it develops 15hp more than the outgoing A4 35TDI motor. Transmission duty is take car by a 7-speed S-tronic dual clutch automatic gearbox as standard.
The new Audi A4 looks cooler and tech loaded than before, it gets LED matrix headlights, new front grille and revised LED tail lamps. For features, it sports three deluxe automatic climate control, 8.3 inch HD touchscreen display with MMI control, 19 speaker Audi sound system with subwoofer, 6 channel amplifier, Audi park assist with rear view camera, electric adjustable power front seats with 4-way lumbar support and Audi virtual cockpit with 12.3 inch HD display.
