BMW X1 Petrol Model Launched In India at Rs 35.75 Lakh

BMW has modified its lineup in India with the introduction and discontinuation of variants across a number of models. The cars affected by the shuffling include 3 series, 5 series and 7 series along with X1 and X3 from the SUV regiment.  Apart from 330i, M760 Li, BMW has also launched petrol version of X1. Available in only one mid-level variant, it is priced at Rs. 35.75 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

Badged as sDrive20i, powering the SUV is a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine that makes 188bhp power and 280Nm of torque, linked to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. For better driving experience, it is equipped with three drive modes- ECOPRO, Comfort and Sport. The SUV can make 0-100km/hr sprint in 7.7 seconds with the top speed of 222km/hr. The car rates to deliver ARAI rated fuel efficiency of 16.3 Kmpl.

On the design front, it is similar to diesel variant with familiar kidney grille with a high gloss matte aluminium finish, large air intakes with black matte finish, front bumper with silver embellishments highlight the front fascia. On sides, it gets 14-inch alloy wheels, matt silver side sill, door sill inserts in aluminium with BMW embedded on it. At the rear, it wears LED tail lights, twin exhaust tailpipe and underbody protection in black and silver.

BMW X1 is available five attractive colours: Black Sapphire, Sparkling brown, Alpine white, Chestnut Bronze and Mediterranean blue.

Inside the cabin, the SUV comes with multi-function steering wheel with leather and black stitching, two-zone automatic climate control, footwell lights, Panoramic sunroof, 6.5-inch display with rearview camera and display assistance, orange/white light for instrument panel to name a few. For safety, it is loaded with six airbags, Cornering braking control, ABS with brake assist, Dynamic traction and stability control etc.
