After six long years of thrill flagship, Supercar Lamborghini Aventador gets a mild facelift in the form of Aventador S similar to Apple iPhone nomenclature. When most auto giants launch new generation model it gets dynamic changes in design, features or performance but this is a bit different story. However, the S version comes with more aerodynamic body shell, a couple of new technology and some subtle design tweaks. The new S version will be going on sale in Europe by 2017 and will be launched in India by end of 2017.
In addition, it also develops 40bhp more output derived from the same brute V12 motor which now develops 740PS power and 690Nm of peak torque linked to a 7-speed automatic transmission. With a dry weight of just 1575 kgs, Lamborghini Aventador S can sprint to 100km/hr mark from a standstill in just 2.9 seconds with the top speed of 350 km/hr. It can hit 200km/hr in 8.8 seconds and 300km/hr in 24.2 seconds.
The 2017 Lamborghini Aventador S sports revised front fascia to improve downforce, enhanced back diffuser, low front splitter, new centrally placed exhaust pipes and rear wing which can be adjusted in three different positions depending upon the driving modes and speed. The rear bumper is new and incorporates revamped tail lights connected via grey strip.
The Lamborghini Aventador S rides on new bespoke Pirelli P Zero rubber and carbon ceramic brakes as standard. Interiors have a wider scope of personalization with the host of infotainment features like Android auto, Apple Car Play, Lamborghini telemetry system and TFT digital dashboard.
As for the tech goodies and interior enhancements, it gets new instrument panel with interactive TFT LCD display, LED lighting system, use of premium carbon Skin and much more. Complimenting visionary design, cutting-edge technology and premium cabin ambience is the advanced safety tech like electronic stability control with integrated ABS with EBD, eight airbags, side protection system, front-rear specific collapsible areas.
