After quietly launching 1.5 TDi diesel engine for the Vento sedan, the German automaker Volkswagen has launched limited edition of Vento called the Preferred edition. The new edition is based on all the Comfortline models of Vento MPI, TSI, TDI and TDI DSG. The Vento Preferred comes with addition of some new changes to differentiate from the regular model. According to Volkswagen it is available across all dealerships at an attractive price tag, though exact prices haven’t been revealed yet.
The Vento preferred edition comes loaded with range of exterior and interior changes such as contrasting rooftop, new alloy wheels, body side moldings, leather upholstery, and portable navigation with wireless rear view camera. Volkswagen India is hoping to better sales with the launch of this new preferred edition.
Under the skin it retains the same powertrains- 1.6l MPI petrol that makes 105PS power along with 153Nm of torque while 1.5 TDI diesel mill generates 110PS power and 250Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 5 speed manual and a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox. Moving to the smaller displacement 1.2l MPI TSI turbocharged petrol motor that belts out 105PS along with 175Nm linked to a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox.
