Toyota Etios Cross X-Edition

Following the trend, Toyota has launched a special edition of Etios Cross in India dubbed as Etios Cross X-edition. It is available in both petrol and diesel powertrain and priced at Rs. 6.80 lakh and Rs. 8.23 lakh (ex-showroom Kolkata) respectively. Initially, the limited edition is available in selected markets such as Bihar, Assam and West Bengal while for the remaining regions it will be launched on 28th September 2017.

The limited edition is available in new Quartz brown shade and comes with black front grille and black fog bezels. On the sides, it features painted plastic body cladding and wheel arches, X edition badge on the C-pillar and body coloured door handles for petrol version and chrome one for the diesel.

Inside the cabin, the special edition gets a 6.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with voice recognition and Bluetooth, all black theme with faux carbon fibre on dashboard, chrome garnished AC vents and gear know. In addition, it gets the leather wrapped steering wheel with audio controls and silver accents, keyless entry, electrically adjustable ORVMs etc.

In the safety segment, the car sports dual front airbags (driver+ front passenger), reversing parking camera, ABS (Anti-lock braking system) with EBD (Electronic brake force distribution) and front seat belt with pre-tensioners, ISOFIX seats and driver seat belt warning.

The X-edition is available with the same petrol and diesel engines of the standard model, 1.2l 4-cylinder petrol that makes 79bhp@5600rpm and 104Nm of torque@3100rpm and a 1.4l 4-cylinder diesel engine delivers max power of 67bhp@3800rpm and torque of 170Nm between 1800-2400rpm. Both engines are linked to a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard and claim to deliver an ARAI rated mileage of 17.71 Kmpl and 23.59 Kmpl respectively.
