Tata Zest bags More than 10,000 bookings

Tata Zest is proving to be a wonder car for Tata as it is getting a very good response from car aspirers of the country. Tata zest was launched on 12^th August but its bookings were already started from 19^th July. Tata stayed away from the market for the quite a sometime until the launch of Zest. Tata zest bookings numbers are very impressive, hopefully which is likely to increase as the time goes.

According to company’s official tweets ‘Zest Revotron petrol engine has a waiting period of 4-6 weeks while Zest AMT has a lengthy waiting period of three to four months. Tata zest is a compact sedan which gets refreshing design and premium touch interiors and few first in segment introductions.

Tata motors are going through a flat phase with 17.59 percent drop in the sales of August 2014.Tata zest carries lots of hope from Tata’s side as they have to recover their lost  market position and stable themselves again in the market as one of the primary player.

Tata zest is available in two sets of engine– 1.2L Revotron petrol engine producing 88.73BHP power and 140nm torque which is mated with 5 speed manual transmission and available with the option of Sports, ECO and City driving mode options. Diesel engine is powered with 1.3L Quadrajet Turbo diesel engine which produces 88.8BHP and 200nm torque. Diesel engine comes with two transmission options – Five speed manual transmission and F- tronic automated manual transmission.

In terms of features, it sports Harman touchscreen infotainment system, premium fabrics, aluminum finished gear knob and many more exterior-interior features. Tata zest is being offered in five trims- XE, XM, XMA, XMS and XT. XMA (AT) is available only with Diesel motor.
