Tata launches Tiago AMT in India at Rs. 5.39 lakh

After months of teasing and testing, Tata launched Tiago AMT at a starting price of Rs. 5.39 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Available in the range top XZA variant, new AMT trim is available at all Tata dealerships across India. Tiago AMT will take on Maruti Suzuki Celerio AMT which is available in the price range of Rs. 4.52 to Rs. 5.25 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

Exterior and interior wise, this vary variant is similar to the standard version. At tape, it measures 3746mm in length, 1647mm in width and 1535mm in height. It rides on the wheelbase of 2400mm and offers 170mm of ground clearance. Features on board dual tone interior, connect next infotainment system with navigation, 8 speaker Harman audio system, dual front airbags, ABS with EBD and CSC.

Tiago AMT continues to be powered by a 1.2 l Revotron petrol engine that makes 84bhp@6000rpm and 114Nm of torque@3500rpm. The Easy shift AMT has four gear positions-automatic, neutral, reverse and manual. The gearbox also has two drive modes– Sports and City. It also gets creep function that prevents the car from rolling back when it starts from an inclined position. The manual variant delivers an ARAI rated mileage of 23.84 Kmpl, AMT gearbox is likely to deliver similar fuel efficiency.
