Tata Hexa Accessories brochure revealed; to come with three customizable kits

Gunning for the similar performance as Tiago, Tata is leaving no stone unturned in order to advertise Hexa SUV. Having lost the opportunity at fastest growing segment with Aria, Tata seems to put its heart out with Hexa. The SUV is slated to be launched in India on 18th January 2017 and list of customization kits has surfaced on the web. Tata is currently conducting off road drives for Hexa while bookings for the SUV began in November 2016.

As per the leaked online brochures, Hexa is likely to get optional three customizable kits- Tuff, expedition and Luxe. Customers who don’t want entire kit can also go for stand-alone add-ons along with leather upholstery, side steps, motorized sunroof, cycle carrier, tyre repair kit and components like subwoofers and amplifiers. Let us start with first customization kit:-

The customization package offers host of features like head up display, wireless charging with support tray, roof box, a new body kit, 3D modular mats, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) etc. The total cost of Tuff kit is likely to be around Rs. 1.3 lakh above the ex-showroom price of Hexa.

Expedition kit

Second in the list is Expedition kit which is best suited for those who prefer frequent long distance journey. The package includes puddle lights, roof mounted platform for luggage, roof mounted canopy which is foldable, big waterproof luggage bag. This kit will cost you at Rs. 50,000 over the price of Hexa.

Luxe Kit

The Luxe kit seems to be aesthetically centric and designed for those looking for premium tinge. With Luxe kit, the SUV offers front grille and headlamp garnish, illuminated front logo, new ORVM covers, body side moldings with chromed door handles, puddle lights, chrome embedded tail lights. On the inside, it gets wireless charger, anti-skid mats and carpets with warmer and chiller. The Luxe kit sets you back at Rs. 30,000 above the price of the car.

Some of the highlights include projector headlamps with LED DRLs, dual zone climate control, five inch touchscreen system, reverse parking camera, 10 speaker JBL audio system, six airbags, ABS, EBD, ESP and hill start assist and four drive modes etc.

Tata Hexa houses a 2.2 litre Varicor diesel engine available in two states of tune- Varicor 320 which is capable of delivering 150PS power and 320Nm of torque while the Varicor 400 is good for 156PS and 400Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed and a 6-speed manual transmission and a new six speed automatic gearbox. Prices are yet to be disclosed but we expect to start at Rs. 12 lakh (ex-showroom).
