India’s largest car manufacturer Maruti is aiming to take their tally of sales further up in the growing Indian auto market. Right now Maruti is concentrating on the Launch of much anticipated Ciaz which is all set to arrive at the market on 10th October 2014. No doubt Swift has been Maruti’s successful car since its launch and by adding sportier element to it this will further boost the market share of the company.
Maruti Swift facelift is spotted at the company’s dockyard in Manesar, which confirms that its launch is in near future. Sources revealed Maruti facelift will receive LED DRL’s, fog lamps which are placed near the larger air damps.
Suzuki has launched Swift facelift in UK which received minor changes like LED daytime running lights, front fog lamps, Electrically powered OVRM’s with LED indicators, gear shift indicator for better fuel efficiency and tyre pressure monitoring system.

Though Indian version of Swift facelift might not get all the above mentioned changes but at least revised fog lamps, new front bumper with silver coating and LED daytime running lights with new headlights. Top end variant will get new set of alloy wheels and new blue metallic shade.
Mechanically Swift will remain same continue to offer same 1.2L k series petrol Engine which produces 85BHP power and 114nm torque, while 1.3L Multijet turbo engine producing 75BHP power and 190nm torque. Both the engines will be mated with conventional 5 Speed manual transmission but there are some speculations in the market about the 4 speed AMT.
With such advanced feature it will compete against the like of Honda Jazz, Elite i20 and Volkswagen Polo.
Maruti is also planning to launch Maruti swift facelift codenamed as Maruti S and scheduling its launch in upcoming Festive season which is expected to be cost around Rs. 7.5 lakh.
