The dimensions of the car are 3585mm x 1595mm x 1550mm with wheelbase of 2380mm. Keeping in mind the speed brakers, the ground clearance is kept as 165 mm and the fuel tank capacity is 45l.  Two types of engines available: 1.1 iRDE2 which has 5-speed manual transmission having 4 cyl 12 valves which has SOHC engine giving displacement of 1086 cc, max power 69/5500 ps/rpm and max torque 10.1/4500 kgm/rpm; and 1.2 Kappa2 having both 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic transmission having 4 cyl 16 valves which has DOHC with VTVT giving displacement of 1197 cc, max power 80/4000 ps/rpm and max torque of 11.4/4000 kgm/rpm. The mileage offered is as high as 20.36 kmpl. First-in-class manual transmission Gear shift indicator which allows optimum gear usage. The brakes are ventilated disc at front and drum at the rear.

There are 2 fuel options petrol and LPG, LPG as fuel option is also called the ‘Blue drive’ technology which gives better performance and low running costs. The company fitted Toroidal LPG tank is specially designed to take lesser boot space. Another innovation from Hyundai called the AMS (Alternator Management system) technology which controls delivery of power to battery, while accelerating the supply is limited and while decelerating the supply is normal, which improves mileage and increases battery life.

There are 5 models of the car D-LITE, ERA, MAGNA, SPORTZ, SPORTZ (O) and ASTA.  Some interesting features are the electrically adjustable outside mirror with turn indicator, electric sunroof to let fresh air and sunlight in with just a click of button, 2 din audio and Bluetooth connectivity, steering mounted audio and Bluetooth controls, driver seat height adjustability, AUX and USB ports to plug in your devices to hear the favourite tracks and enjoy the journey. The instrument panel has a soothing blue illumination on tachometer (petrol only), electronic petrol fuel indicator, electronic tripmeter and odometer, low fuel warning lamp, door and tailgate ajar warning. To add to the list is the attractive Dual tone beige and brown key colour, chrome finish inside door handles and chrome finish gear knob, cup holders, rear parcel tray, front door map pocket, etc.

Safety comes naturally to i10, ABS– Antilock Braking System prevents the car from skidding and prevents wheel-lock during panic braking especially on slippery roads, first in segment reverse parking sensor with a buzzer that sounds the alert if the car comes too close to an obstacle. Dual airbags ensure safety during an impact. Among other protective measures are front fog lamps, engine immobilizer and impact sensing auto door unlocking in the top model.
