Renault Duster, a SUV which just raised the same segment competition level in Indian car market on a high level by offering a trendy, huge, family based spacious and good on-road performing car in affordable price. Undoubtedly, the SUV is making a blast in India since its launch and giving a tough fight to its other rivals of similar segments like Mahindra XUV500, Ford EcoSport and Nissan Terrano etc. and now it has come again by carrying one special variant. At the recently held 12th Auto Expo, Renault launched one special variant of this trendy SUV namely Duster Adventure Edition. This Duster facelift is also getting a four-wheel-drive (4×4) system but probably by the mid of this year.
Price:
This new Adventure edition is placed as the new line-up in RxE and RxL variants of Duster which gets the price tags of 9.16 lakhs and 11.79 lakhs respectively.
Engine details:
This new adventure edition of Duster is sharing only diesel engine with power and torque equal as ongoing RxE and RxL diesel trims. This diesel engine is a 1.5 liter, 4-cylinder i-line dCi K9K THP developing 83.8bhp (in RxE), 108.5bhp (in RxL) and 200Nm (in RxE), 248Nm (in RxL) of max powers and torques respectively.
Duster’s RxE trim is mated to a 5-speed manual while RxL trim is with 6-speed manual transmission gearbox.
Currently, the existed Duster has only two-wheel-drive (4×2) system but also, to provide this amazing SUV a better handling and safety on road, company is planning to offer a four-wheel-drive (4×4) system in this car in future.
Also, it offers an impressive ARAI certified mileage figures of 20.45 km/l which makes this SUV a better performer on road.
Space & Dimension:
Dimensions are same like the ongoing model, 4315mm long, 1822mm wide and 1695mm tall Duster gets the wheelbase of 2673mm and clear height of 205mm. It’s a five seater SUV which continue with the same car boot and fuel tank capacity of 475 liters and 50 liters respectively and minimum turning radius of 5.2 m.
Interior & Exterior:
The all-new Duster Adventure edition is having a bold, rugged styling by its refined smoked headlamps, metal coverings with lamps at front, chromed trim at inside, modified roof rails, side-body mouldings, newly designed scuff plate, renovated tail lamps and fog lamps and anthracite R16 gunmetal-grey-colored alloy wheels, new ‘Adventure’ badge at front etc. This new variant of Duster is also carrying a new Comete Grey color.
Contrary, at inside, it is fixed with an all-new lime-green-color fabrics, sportier floor mats, dual-toned dashboard having stitched Duster name on the seats. For entertainment purpose, it also designed with an advanced Media-NAV (media navigation) along with high-end entertainment and also with a communication console which assures flawless navigation when at outside. Other than this, it shares the entire features of its ongoing Duster variants.
Road handling:
Duster is known for its awesome drivability and easy –to-handle quality on road. The existed users of this muscular SUV just love to drive it and now with this adventurous edition make it sportier by look and providing a different, premium and more comfortable feel than before.
