Maruti Suzuki is in news again and that to for a recall and it is probably one of the biggest one in company’s history. India’s largest car maker has issued a recall of 75,419 units of Baleno premium hatchback and 1961 units of Dzire AMT aka AGS. The company will be recalling Baleno to fix the airbag issue and Dzire AMT to inspect and replace a faulty fuel filter.
Both Petrol and diesel powered Baleno has been recalled while the former manufactured between August 3, 2015 and May 17, 2016 will get faulty airbag rectified and diesel between August 3, 2015 and March 22, 2016 will be inspected for a defective fuel filter as well. The recall accounts 17,231 exported units as well.
Apart from Baleno hatchback, the AGS (Auto gear shift) aka AMT variant of diesel Dzire compact sedan which was produced between August 3rd 2015 and March 22nd 2016 will be inspected for a faulty fuel filter. During the upcoming festive season Maruti will be launching sports version of Baleno christened as RS Baleno with 1.0l Turbocharged petrol engine. Just to recall, Maruti issued a recall of 20,427 units of its premium crossover S-cross to reinstate faulty brake parts.
