News on Launch of Volkswagen New Jetta – Price, Specifications and Features

If rumors are to be believed then German car manufacturer Volkswagen is planning to launch an updated Jetta sedan in Indian car market. The company is said to be in process of manufacturing it and might unveil the car by the early next year i.e 2015. This facelift version is expected to face some renovations in its interior and exterior and might also get some hike in its power. VW has recently unveiled a new Jetta in New York Motor Show and the Indian version is said to be based on same platform.

Note: The mentioned facts here are yet to be confirmed by the company and hence could be changed by the launch.

Price:

No updates regarding its price have been unveiled yet, the ongoing Jetta sedan carries price tags of around 13.21-19.02 lakhs.

Engine details:

Under the hood, VW’s this sedan is expected to get a refined 2.0 liter TDI diesel engine with the increment of 10bhp in its produced power, ongoing Jetta develops max power of 138.08bhp.The detailed specifications could be unveiled only by the launch though.

Space & Dimension:

It is expected to carry the same dimension like the ongoing model with slightly ups and downs. The ongoing Jetta is 4644mm in length, 1778mm in width and 1453mm in height along with wheelbase and ground clearance of 2633mm and 159mm respectively.

Interior & Exterior:

At inside cabin, it is expected to get a new steering wheel sharing from Golf hatch, new instrument panel with new housings for the two dials, a larger screen for the MID and expectedly many more.

Contrary, at outside, company is redesigning this sedan by giving it a restyled grille, chrome inserted headlights, LED daytime running lights, fog lamp housings, revised front bumpers, new pair of tail lamps and boot lid etc.

Verdict:

Company first launched this sedan here in 2008 but unfortunately failed to get the appropriate success of this trendy car. Now VW again is taking another chance by bringing it facelift version with some renovations and better mechanical powers, it would be interesting to see whether it will taste the actual success this time or not.
