News on launch of Tata Aria – Price, Specifications and Features

Recently showcased at 12th Auto Expo, the updated version of ongoing Tata Aria has finally hit the floor of Indian car market with the starting price of 9.95 lakhs. The Aria is a crossover SUV which is running at above satisfactory level since its launch i.e. 5th January 2010. This facelift Aria comes with warranty of 3 years or 100,000 kms, whichever is earlier.

Price:

The three variants of this updated SUV named as Aria Pure LX 4×2, Aria Pleasure 4×2 and Aria Pride 4×4 carry the price tags of 9.95 lakhs, 12.00 lakhs and 14.74 lakhs respectively.

Engine details:

As mentioned above, the facelift Aria has total three variants, out of which two trims are geared-up with 4×2 (two-wheel-drive) while the top-end trim has 4×4 (four-wheel-drive) system.

The muscular all-new Aria is powered by Tata Motors family engine which is available in its other model Tata Safari and also in previous Aria. The all-new Tata Aria gets a 2.2 liter, 2179cc VARICOR diesel mill which is good to develop the max power of 147.95bhp and peak torque of 320Nm for better pick-up and quick response. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission gearbox.

Company has improved the power of car with this updation to provide it an improved and better mileage figure. The ARAI certified fuel efficiency of this facelift SUV is 15.05 km/l.

Performance:

The predecessor Aria is already an A+ model in terms of on-road riding, and now this facelift car with improved technology will only make the things better. The Tata Aria is known for its luxury features but also for its advanced technology used in it. The SUV offers a wonderful handling and proper balanced braking on road.

Space & Dimension:

The SUV’s this section didn’t face any changes with this updation. It still is 4780mm in length, 1895mm in width and 1780mm in height along with the seating capacity for seven passengers, wheelbase of 2850mm and wonderful clear height of 200mm.

Interior & Exterior:

To provide the SUV a 2014-touch, company has refined few features in its exterior as well as inside the cabin. Its outside profile doesn’t get much change though but still a new stylized decals, clear lens tail lamps, black bezel headlamps, darkness sensing ‘follow me home’ headlamps and rain sensing wipers are marking their presence as newly added features.

Contrary, the inside gets many noticeable features to make the interior of Aria refreshed and cool. These newly added features are in-dash satellite navigation to provide destination guidance, luxurious premium leather upholstery, triple-row theatre-styled flexible seating, steering mounted music, cruise control with BLUE5 connect, Dual AC with auto climate control, keyless entry, electrically adjustable and retractable ORVMs.

Safety:

On the grounds of safety, a plenty no. of safety devices have been added in it to make this SUV one of the safest ones. For superior stability and vehicle control, it has traction control, ABS with EBD (in two top-end variants), ESP (only in top-end variant) and six airbags (only in top-end variant).
