After unveiling the Duster facelift at the 2016 Auto Expo, Renault has officially launched it in India with an introductory price of Rs. 8.46 lakh which goes up to 13.57 lakh. The 2016 Duster now arrives with 32 new changes and most important of them is automated manual transmission (AMT). This move could be result of Creta Automatic and XUV500 automatic are doing well in the market. Here is all you need to know about the Duster facelift:-
Price:
Available in total 12 variants, the base petrol variant of duster is available for Rs. 8.46 lakh (ex-showroom) while the entry level diesel cost at Rs. 9.26 lakh. The AMT version is available for Rs. 11.66 lakh and 12.86 lakhs (ex-showroom) respectively.
Engine Details:
For the new Duster, power continues to come from the same powertrains, 1.6l K4M petrol mill developing 102PS@5850rpm and 145Nm of peak torque, paired to a six speed manual gearbox. It also comes with diesel mill in two states of tunes- one with 85PS power and 200Nm of torque, linked to a six speed manual gearbox while the top variants get the tuned version which produces 108bhp@4000rpm and 245Nm of torque@1750rpm, in addition to a six speed easy R-AMT transmission.
In terms of mileage, the AT version returns an ARAI certified fuel efficiency figure of 19.6 km/l, while for the AWD it stands at 19.72 km/l.
Space and Dimensions:
There is no change in this segment as it measures 4315mm in length, 1822mm in width and 1695mm in height. The duster facelift has the same wheelbase of 2673mm and ground clearance of 205mm.
Exterior and Interior:
The 2016 Renault Duster flaunts dual barrel hawk eye shaped headlamps with LED daytime running lights, new single slat grille with diamond Renault emblem, revised body cladding, 16 inches blazed up metal colored alloy wheels which ups the ante of the new version of the SUV. At rear, it gets waterfall shaped LED tail lamps, redesigned bumpers and silver skid to complete the package.
