Lancer – a prestigious car which features in some Punjabi numbers clearly indicates it being a celebrated possession of youngistan and starlets. Ah well! that’s true, that Mitsubishi is going to launch Lancer’s new version in India in upcoming month of this year, otherwise in 2014. The price is expected to be around Rs 10 lacs. Let’s have a look at the Specifications and Features this car will offer:
Specifications: The new Lancer also like all Mitsubishi cars has this ‘MIVEC’ engine which stands for Mitsubishi Innovative Valve Timing Electronic Control which adjusts intake timing for optimal performance across the rev range. Here you will find 2.0L MIVEC DOHC 16 valve engine offering max power of 150PS @ 6000 rpm and a max Torque of 192 Nm @4200 rpm. Exteriors: The sedan has long front bonnet simple and royal at the same time. At the foots of bonnet lies the upside-down wide bucket- shaped honey-comb mesh grill with just a thin chrome boundary. The grill is bifurcated by a plastic bar holding the number plate and the brand Signatory. 2 fine lines on the bonnet form the eyebrow for the headlamps which give an eye-for- an- eye look!! There are fog lamps on either side of the grill having a small grill alongside the lamp, in the cubicle. The side profile is aesthetic like all luxury sedans with fine character lines and protective moldings, stylish door handles and ORVMs. Oh not to forget the 18” light weight alloy wheels with 8 spokes on it. Even at the rear you will observe a spoiler and 2 taillamps giving an angry eye look with its red, blue, yellow and white lights. There is a nice bulge at the tailgate as if showing its sexy back to the onlookers.
Interiors: Enter in and you can feel the plush upholstery and dashboard. There is a small coloured LCD screen Multi info display (MID) especially used for navigation purpose. There is this multi function steering with audio and cruise control mounted on it. Other features on the list are keyless entry system, fully automatic airconditioner, auto rain sensing wipers and auto light control, Adaptive front lighting system with HID lamps, etc.
