British Luxury carmaker, Bentley has launched its first SUV ‘Bentayga’ in India. Touting it as world’s most powerful SUV, it is available at a Jaw dropping price of Rs. 3.85 crores (ex-showroom Delhi) for the base version and it goes up to 6 crore for the top end variant which include Breitling Clock worth Rs. 1.5 crore. Bentayga, the most expensive SUV ever is distillation of luxury and performance tailor-made for rich. Bentley has allocated only 20 units for the Indian market and according to sources all the units have already been sold and preferences were given to brand loyalists.

Engine details:

Under the tag of luxury you also get sports car kind of performance as the SUV packs with a 5990cc 6.0 litre twin turbo W12 engine which develops a massive output of 601bhp@5000-6000rpm and colossal torque of 900Nm between 1250-4500rpm. Sending power to all wheels via an AWD system and sophisticated drive selector, the engine is linked to an 8-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters.

With such massive engine, the SUV darts 0-100km in just 4.1 seconds while hitting the top speed of 301km/hr. Bentayga has a massive tank capacity of 85 liters and delivers efficient mileage of 7.63 Kmpl.

Space and Dimensions:

Bentayga is based on VW’s new modular platform which is similar to new Audio Q7 and upcoming Porsche. The SUV is 5141mm long, 1998mm wide, 1742mm and sits on the wheelbase of 2992mm. The vehicle is available in both 4 and 5 seating configuration and weighs 2422kg.

Colors:

The Bentley Bentayga is making its presence felt in array of color options- Molten Bronze, Highland, Big Skies, Quick silver, Opera night, blue ice, Macchiato, Red mist, Stonecutter, heat wave and Ultra marine.

Exterior and Interior:

The Bentayga carries the familiar Bentley styling with Characteristic matrix mesh front grille with big air intakes and chrome, floating round headlamps with separate LED DRLs, a flying b side air intake and front skid plate. The higher stance is further enhanced with the presence of massive 22 inch alloy wheels while rear bears angular B shaped LED tail lamps, dual exhaust pipes and chrome line running across the lower section of rear.

Step inside the car surrounded you with luxurious bits and pieces such as gorgeous handcrafted wood and leather, 8 inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, 60GB storage, voice control text to speech, SD card and 30 languages support.

The epitome of luxury is taken to next level by plethora of features including front seat with 18 way adjustable functions, three audio system options ranging from 700-1950 watts with metal grille speakers, driver info panel with mineral glass screen,  panoramic sunroof with electric blind, premium leather wrapped ratio powered new steering wheel, bespoke ambient lighting etc. Other noteworthy goodies include 10.2 inch removable tablet, 4G, Wi-Fi, rear entertainment system, plush leather seats with contrast stitching, Naim sound system, adding to luxury ambience of the SUV.
