Being one of the most selling cars of Toyota, it has been redesigning many times since its launch. The reason behind this is obviously its popularity and company wants to keep this car refresh and soothing to be on top in competitive list. As a result, it is redesigned again and the new facelift version has come in the car market with a new tag this time i.e. MPV (Multi Purpose Vehicle), while the earlier version falls under the SUV category. Let’s see what experts view on this facelift car is.
On one side, company wants Innova to be on top, but on the contrary the price is kept increasing at every launch. The present condition is that while its main rivals in MPV category comes only under 10 lakhs, this facelift Innova is much costlier and has a price tag of 12.46-15.07 lakhs.
Engine & performance:
It is well equipped with 2494cc, 2.5 liter 2KD diesel engine along with 5-speed manual gearbox and producing max power of 100.6bhp and 200Nm of peak torque. The ARAI certified mileage of this classy MPV is observed as 12.9km/l which is quite impressive according to its bigger size.
This diesel engine provides an amazing drivability by accelerating responsively even at low rpm. Though, gearbox runs smoothly but engine is noisy and it was un-expectable coz company should have brought some improvement with this facelift. The balanced and comfortable road handling can definitely win many hearts, it also has small turning radius of 5.4m which makes this car flexible and easy to turn even in crowded place. It accelerates 0-100km/h in 13 seconds with the top speed of 175km/h.
Space & Dimension:
It offers seating capacity for seven passengers which can be extended to eight. It is huge car having dimension of 4585mm in length, 1765mm in width and 1760mm in height. Though boot space is little bit smaller and seems like a hatchback’s but still better than its rivals like Maruti Ertiga. The facelift Innova has boot space of 300 liters which can be enlarged by folding 3rd row; it also has 50:50 folding option to extend the space further. The ground clearance is of 176mm which is quite superb.
Exterior:
Like the usually MPVs look, it gets a huge size but trendy as well which includes a renovated bumper, bulky radiator grille, a broad chrome band at rear gates with reflectors etc. While the bright headlamps, tail lamps, reverse camera, rear spoiler and 205/65 R15 rubber tires with 10-spoke alloy wheels are similar to its predecessor, a new chrome surrounding in fog lamps, new Z badge on its top most Z variant, butterfly window for 3rd row are some newly equipped changes have been done in this new facelift.
Interior & Safety features:
At inside, a cool dashboard is being repeated in this facelift having an airy interiormade with premium quality material. The interior features include leather wrapped electronic steering wheel having audio controls on it, instrument cluster having odometer & trip meter, height adjusted driver seat,centre console, 2-din touch screen DVD player with USB, aux-in, climate control (only in two upper most variants), AC at front & AC vents at rear seats, leather wrapped gear knob. Though, dead pedal is missing but space for foot rest is available there. Seating wrapping varies from variant to variant, while the top most Z variant gets leather trim, variant V gets high fabric upholstery but lower variant gets normal fabric seats. Other small yet noticeable features are center armrest, small glove-box, bottle holders at doors,one touchdown function on driver-side window, ORVMs, 2 reading lamps on roof, vanity mirror for co-passenger, spacious legroom, back seat pockets and 2 cup holders etc.
As per the safety is concern, it is well embellished with safety features like dual airbags, ABS with EBS for balanced on-road braking, keyless entry, an anti-theft device i.e. immobilizer, door ajar warning.

Cons:
– So much expensive than other same segment cars.
