We have been hearing about the launch new Tata Safari Storme since 2012 and a lot has been written about its launch date, price and more about interiors and features. It seems that the wait is over and we will be finally getting the new Safari Storme soon, Tata will launch 2015 Safari Storme very soon. The official brochure and details of new Safari Storme has been leaked online a few weeks before its launch.
Going by the leaked brochure, 2015 Safari Storme will be launched in three trims– LX, EX and VX; the top VX variant would be available in both 4×2 and 4×4 drive system with shift-on-fly technology and limited slip differential. Tata has started the dealer dispatches and the base LX variant would be priced at Rs. 9.99 Lakh (ex-showroom).
The leaked brochure puts an end on all the rumors and speculations about the new safari Storme by revealing inclusive details about the new model. New Tata Safari Storme now gets Java black dashboard with silver detailing, a three spoke steering wheel with adjustable steering column from Zest and Bolt, and three position lumbar support for front seats.
2015 Tata Safari Storme also boasts features like Harman audio system with six speakers, bluetooth, AUX and USB connectivity. The LX variant gets a five seater configuration while the other two (EX, VX) are seven seaters. The features like touchscreen unit, a six speed manual gearbox, automatic A/C climate control, MID would not be the part of new Safari Storme.
When it comes to outside profile of new Safari Storme nothing has changed much except the reworked front fascia, New Safari Storme now gets Projector headlamps, Land rover instigated honeycomb grille to add international flavor, revised front bumper, redesigned air dam. Coming to the side profile higher variants get side footsteps, body colored ORVMs while other profile remains almost same.
In the safety segment, 2015 Safari features dual front airbags, seat belt unfastening warning, reverse parking sensors, ABS with EBD, front-rear fog lamps and many more.
2015 Tata Safari Storme to be powered by same 2.2L VARICOR engine that will now produce 150PS power@4000rpm which is 10PS more than the current model while torque remains same at 320Nm@1700-2700rpm. The 2015 model will be mated to same 5-speed manual gearbox and fuel efficiency is rated at 14.1 KMPL just 0.1 more than the current model.
