New Honda Jazz which made its appearance on Indian soil at 2014 Auto expo held earlier this year is now on the final stages to go on sale in the first quarter of 2015. Jazz was first launched in 2009, despite of being a brilliant car Honda had to discontinue it from the market in early 2013 due to out of the market price. High price leads to almost no demand for Honda Jazz at that time because its price was near a compact size sedan which forced Honda to cut down the price by Rs. 1 lakh but still its sales progress was extremely slow.

2014 has been a great year for Honda as its two launches- Honda City and Honda Mobilio received an overwhelming response from the buyers. This year was also a year for delays for Honda as they were not able to cope with the high demands and it resulted in long waiting period. So to cope up with the problem Honda is planning to set up a new plant in Gujarat.

But right now Honda is pepping up for the launch of its new premium hatchback jazz for which they already begins the production, so prepare to witness third Gen Jazz on Indian roads any time from now. But one is for sure that Honda will not make the same mistake they made it with earlier Jazz, 2015 Jazz will be competitively priced we can expect Honda to price it between Rs. 5.5-8 lakh (ex-showroom) due to 90% localization.

Mechanically, new Jazz will be carrying Amaze’s 1.2L i-Vtec Petrol engine which is good to produce 86.7bhp power and 109Nm torque while for the first time new Jazz will be available in City inspired 1.5L i-Dtec diesel engine which gives 98.8bhp power and 200Nm of peak torque. New Jazz will be paired to six speed manual transmission instead of Amaze’s 5 speed manual and company might introduce an automatic variant too.

In terms of styling new Jazz gets 5 spoke alloy wheels, hawk eye shaped smoked headlamps, horizontal chrome slat grille, blackened b pillars, tiny roof spoiler, extended tail lamps and six body paint options ( Red, silver, white, Titanium metallic, carnelian red and crystal black.

Interiors layout expected to remain same as Honda City with few add-ons and improvements like magic seats, touchscreen automatic climate control, advance music system with multimedia support, rear A/c vents, black upholstery, reverse parking camera and multi functional steering wheel.
