The new Honda Jazz is on its way and will be launched on 8th July 2015 in the country. According to reports, the company has started taking the bookings for new Jazz. Although, bookings supposed to begin on 20th June but some Honda dealers have already accepting the bookings at the token amount of Rs. 30,000-50,000 depending on the variant you choose.

With the bookings commencing so early, Honda wants to keep the buzz going among the buyers which it has generated through teaser, ads and other means. The previous GEN Jazz was spacious, fun to drive car tailor made for the enthusiasts but fail to do good business due to lack of diesel engine and high price.

Honda has surely learned from its previous mistake and has achieved 90% localization for the new Jazz which will help them price it competitively, something company couldn’t manage with the previous GEN Jazz. The new Jazz is expected to be priced around Rs. 5.05 lakh for the base variant while the top variant to cost at Rs. 8 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

Unlike previous Jazz, which was only available in petrol engine the 2015 Honda Jazz comes in both petrol and diesel engines. The New Jazz is powered by 1.2L i-Vtec petrol engine developing 90Ps and 109Nm of peak torque mated to manual as well as CVT gearbox. Jazz petrol returns efficient mileage of 19KMPL for the automatic variant while the manual returns 18.7 KMPL.

The new Jazz is likely to be come with 1.5L i-Dtec diesel engine of city sedan that should put out 100PS power and 200Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The new Jazz will be the second most fuel efficient car in India as 1.5L i-Dtec would return 27.3KMPL of ARAI certified mileage, offers best in class figures.

The 2015 Honda Jazz carries the new design technology much like city sedan and sports LED tail lights like CR-V, single thick chrome grille finished in matte black, static bending headlights, 15 inch alloy wheels, ORVM with turn indicators and folding feature, rear spoiler and seven exterior color shade option- Sunset orange, Golden Brown M, Urban Titanium, Carnelian Red, Alabaster Silver, White Ordhid P and Tafeta white.

The cabin of new is inspired by City’s design and features 6.1inch touchscreen infotainment system with video playback and navigation, touch panel for automatic climate control, new steering wheel with audio controls and paddle shifters, reverse camera, magic seats and three pod instrumental cluster with blue illumination lighting. The seat upholstery is available in being and black options.
