When it comes to most awaited car of 2014 there is only word comes to the mind which is Maruti Ciaz. Everyone is waiting to try their hands on Ciaz, in Speculation market everyday you’ll hear a different story about its launch. After making its debut in 2014 Indian Auto Expo, it has been a long time since then. Maruti had done various advertisement campaigns whether #coolcatsinthedown teaser and commercial with Bollywood star Ranveer Singh.
Maruti Ciaz’s production is on full swing in Manesar plant of Maruti and from 3rd September 2014 Maruti dealers has started taking bookings from customers for just Rs. 21,000 and expected to grace the roads in festive season to be appropriate by 10th October 2014. Every car maker claims that their car is superior or different from existing cars in the market. Just for this reason we are here to tell you about the distinct features of Maruti’s upcoming sensation ‘Ciaz.’
1. Engine and Transmission –
Maruti Ciaz will replace Maruti’s not so successful Sedan SX4, Maruti has included 1.6L petrol engine instead of this Maruti subdivided it into Two Engines which we have seen in Maruti Ertiga- 1.4L k series petrol engine producing 91.1BHP power and 130nm torque while 1.3L fiat sourced Diesel engine producing 89BHp power and 200nm torque.
Both the engines are mated with manual transmissions as standard and 4AT as optional.
2. Ciaz, India most fuel efficient car? –
1.4L k series petrol engine is capable of giving 20.73 KPL mileage (ARAI certified) while 1.3L diesel engine gives 26.21 KPL mileage (ARAI certified). Diesel box’s output is claimed to be most efficient mileage in India which was earlier ruled by Honda city with 26.0 KPL. With this kind of output Ciaz is beating all other cars of this segment like Honda city, Hyundai Verna, Nissan Sunny and Skoda Rapid.
3. Dimension Strength-
External specification wise it seems to be one of the spacious cars in the segment, it consists proper headroom, legroom space at both rear and front seats. Measurement wise it is 4490mm long, 1730mm wide and 1485mm tall which makes it an ultra spacious car, it is better measured car than its rivals only a pinch shorter than Honda city approx 10mm shorter. Besides it car is the widest and lengthiest car among the segment.
It offers 170mm ground clearance which is again better among some of its competitors like Honda city and Skoda rapid. It has 510 liters of boot space which is equal to Honda city.
