Ongoing Auto Expo is going to reveal the curtain from the many cars of every category’s people. In this queue, Maruti Suzuki’s new and small hatchback Celerio is also marking its presence. It’s the car which is suitable for the common people who want to buy one for their daily use. The reliable company Maruti has already started to accept its booking across India with an advance payment of Rs. 10,000. The New Celerio has been launched on 6th Feb at this 12th Auto Expo 2014.
Price:
While bookings have already started few days ago, its price is being revealed now with the launch. It has the price tags starting from 3.9 lakhs for its Manual base variant while price of its automatic variant starts from 4.29 lakhs.
Engine details:
It has been confirmed now that this small hatchback is going to be equipped with only petrol fuel which is a 998cc, 1.0 liter 3-cylinder petrol engine mated with 5-speed manual gearbox.
Also, a new transmission concept AMT (automated manual transmission) is being equipped in this Celerio at very first time in India to provide a better drive experience.
As per the company, “The revolutionary Auto Gear Shift gives you freedom to make every drive easy without having to press the clutch pedal or change gears. It is based on an electronic control unit which drives the precision hydraulic actuator to control the clutch engagement and the gear shifting. This gives you the ease of driving an automatic with the fuel efficiency of a manual transmission.”
The Celerio has six variants which produce the max power of 66.07bhp and peak torque of 90Nm. This small engine has ability to offer a very impressive mileage figure of 23.1km/l (ARAI certified).
Space & Dimension:
It’s one of the smallest hatchbacks of Maruti which is 3600mm in length, 1600mm in width and 1560mm in height along with the wheelbase of 2425mm, boot volume of 235 liters and clear height of 165mm. It offers seating capacity for five passengers and carries a lighter weight of around 810/830kg.
Interior & Exterior:
The major features equipped in this small car are EZ Drive technology, power steering having audio controls on it, 2-DIN audio system with Bluetooth compatibility, manual AC, dual toned interior and blinkers on door mirror etc. The other designed features in this Celerio including both comfort and safety categories are vanity mirror, immobilizer, central locking, power windows, CD/USB/Aux-in, 4 speakers, keyless entry, ABS etc, among these features some are only available in its top-end variant only.
Color Options:
It is available in seven different colors including Blazing Red, Sunshine Ray and Cerulean Blue etc.
