After the #coolcatsintown teaser and advertisement shooting from Bollwood star Ranvir singh, Maruti is all set to launch its most anticipated car. Maruti dealers will start taking bookings for an amount of Rs. 21,000 from 3rd September. Maruti will showcase Ciaz in Paris Auto show and will launch it in September.
The Ciaz will be available in two variants Petrol and Diesel; Petrol engine will offer 93BHP power and 130nm torque while Diesel engine offers 89BHP power and 200nm torque.
Maruti’s Ciaz will hit the floors with total of six variants Vxi/Vxi+, Vdi, Vdi+ and Zxi/Zdi and both the engine will be mated with manual transmission with Automatic transmission might be offered in petrol variant.
The top variant of Ciaz will be equipped with class features like defoggers, projector headlamps, airbags, Double Din music system and many more. Ciaz will replace SX4 in the segment.
Domestic sales of Maruti during last month stood at 98,034 units which is around 29.3% up from 76,018 units in August last year. In the month of August Maruti’s total sales up by 26.9% which stands at 1.10 lakhs units as compared to 87,323 units in last year of same month.
Maruti claims the petrol engine has a fuel efficiency of 20.73 KPL while Diesel delivers 26.21 KPL of good mileage.
Ciaz is expected to carry a price range of 7-10 lakhs and it will compete against the likes of Honda city, Hyundai Verna and Nissan Sunny.
