Skoda has officially launched Octavia RS, the performance oriented version of Octavia in India at Rs. 24.62 lakh (ex-showroom Pan India). 2017 is an important year for Skoda as they have already launched new Octavia followed by Rapid Monte Carlo and now the RS version. Leaving no stone unturned the Czech automaker will soon be launching the much awaited Kodiaq SUV in India. The Octavia RS now becomes the most powerful Skoda car to be launched in India and the pre-bookings for the car started earlier this month for an amount of Rs. 50,000.
Engine Details:
The Skoda Octavia is powered by a familiar 2.0l TSI turbocharged petrol motor that makes 230bhp power and 350Nm of high torque. In international markets, it is available with a 6-speed manual gearbox but India will get it with a 6-speed DSG automatic gearbox. It can oomph to 100 km/hr from a standstill in just 6.8 seconds with an electronically limited speed of 250 km/hr.
Space and Dimensions:
Octavia RS, the Monster of car measures 4689mm in length, 1814mm in width, 1496mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2679mm. The sedan offers ground clearance of 141mm and comes with 590 litres of ground clearance which can be further extended up to 1580 litres.
Colors:
The Skoda Octavia RS is available in four colour shades of Race blue, Candy white, Steel Grey and Corrida Red.
Exterior:
In terms of changes, the RS flaunts familiar black radiator grille with RS badge, Quad LED headlamps with LED daytime running lights, new front bumper with three slate air intake and LED fog lamps. The sides come with new sporty alloy wheels, blackened b pillar and contrast black ORVMs. The rear has LED tail lamps. Besides, to increase agility Skoda RS comes with the revised suspension set up, wider track and dynamic chassis control.
Interior:
The cabin boasts 9.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system with apple CarPlay, driver assists Mirrorlink and Android Auto. The cabin gets all black treatment with Alcantara leather upholstery and red stitching, ambient lighting, cruise control, rear AC vents, Handsfree parking, Bluetooth audio streaming, multifunction steering wheel with paddle shifters, Keyless entry, iBuzz fatigue alert, stainless steel pedals, panoramic sunroof with bounce back system, 12-way electrically adjustable front and rear seats.
