British luxury carmaker Land Rover has launched Sterling edition of free Lander 2 to celebrate its 5 years in Indian market. Land Rover’s most affordable SUV Free Lander 2 sterling edition is different from its outgoing version with some exterior/ cosmetic changes, but no mechanical and interior change has been done in Sterling edition.
The Sterling edition powers the same 2179cc 2.2L four cylinder 16V TD4 Diesel engine which we experienced in regular Free Lander 2 with the maximum output of 148BHP @4000rpm power and 420nm@1750rpm torque which is tuned with 6 speed automatic transmission.
The free Lander 2 Sterling edition is available in eight different colors i.e. Santorini Black, Orkney grey, Firenze Red, Baltic Blue, Fuji White, Aintree Green metallic, Havana Premium Metallic and Indus Silver.

Limited units will be available in the market as it is a limited edition and it is presented at the price tag of Rs. 44, 41,000 Lakh.

Earlier Land Rover has announced new Discovery sport a premium SUV which will be replacing Free Lander 2. It is available with 5+2 seating capacity with a total of 7 seater option. New discovery Sport will be available with 2.0L and 2.2L turbocharged Diesel engine options with 9 speed automatic transmission powering all wheel drive.
