BMW has now introduced X1 sDrive20d M Sport version in India. With it’s launch the company now has four versions of the X1 in the country, and the newest one comes with the M Sport package, that was earlier optional only for the xDrive trim. The new M Sport will get cosmetic updates while the engine options remain the same. Apart from the new trim launched BMW also retails the X1 sDrive20d Expedition, X1 sDrive20d xLine and the X1 xDrive20d M Sport, which are priced at 34.50 lakh INR, 38.50 lakh INR and 44.50 lakh INR respectively. In India the SUV will compete against the new Volvo XC40, Mercedes-Benz GLA and the Audi Q3. Here are the detailed features that the X1 is launched with:
Exterior and Interior
The exterior of the SUV gets the M Aerodynamic package with front apron, wheel arch trims, cladding in body color and rear apron with diffuser inserts in dark shadow metallic. Up front the M Sport gets the signature kidney grille with 16 exclusively designed slats with black high-gloss fronts and the M logo as well. The car’s key also has this M logo on it. Inside there are dual-zone climate control, electrically adjustable front sports seats, ambient lighting, digital instrument cluster, auto-dimming mirrors and rear parking sensors with a camera. It also includes extra space as this time it sports a 40:60 split, which is the maximum in the premium compact SUV segment. There’s also a 6.6-inch unit with smartphone integration.
Under the hood, the M Sport SUV comes in only one engine option that includes a 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine that has the ability to produce out a maximum power of 190 bhp and peak torque of 400Nm. It comes to be coupled to an 8-Speed automatic transmission. The car can also run up to 100 kmph in just 7.6 seconds. The company has also made this trim available with 18-inch M light alloy wheels.
The X1 sDrive20d M Sport gets three color options that are Estoril Blue, Mineral White and Sapphire Black.
