Hyundai’s lone offering in SUV segment ‘Santa Fe’ has been given silent update in India just like Elantra, no this is not a facelift but get few evident changes. The Korean car maker has added some new features and made some equipment as standard to the SUV.
Changes on updated Santa Fe:-
- 8 inch touchscreen with voice assisted route guidance, GPS navigation with 3 years free map updates and it also supports USB, AUX-IN, bluetooth, DVD and I-POD connectivity.
- Automatic headlamps
- Revised ORVMs with Turn indicators
Apart from these changes Santa Fe remains exactly the same as the current GEN model. It is quite surprising that Hyundai has not given Sunroof as part of this update, even i10 hatchback offer one which is priced at Rs. 5 lakh.
There are no mechanical changes to the updated model; it continues to get power from 2.2L diesel engine that churns out 194bhp power and 429Nm of peak torque. The Santa comes paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox with 2WD option and 6-speed automatic gearbox available in both 2WD and 4WD options and gets 449Nm as peak torque.
All the above changes are part of 2WD AT and 4WD AT variants only while 2MT variant doesn’t get any changes in the equipment.
Hyundai Santa Fe takes on Toyota Fortuner and Mitsubishi Pajero Sport in the Indian market.
