Hyundai Creta, the compact SUV by South Korean giant has already become popular before its official launch. The compact SUV will be launched on 21st July in India and all the variant wise details have been leaked online. According to leaked information, Creta will be offered with three engines-1.4L diesel, 1.6L diesel and 1.6L petrol engines. It will be available in six variants-Base (L), S, S+, Sx, Sx+ and Sx (O).
The bookings for the SUV have already started with the upfront amount of Rs. 40,000-50,000 depending upon the variant you chose and your city. Recently, Hyundai has released a new TVC of the Creta. Let’s have a look at the variant wise features of the upcoming baby SUV:-
Base (L) – The base (L) variant will be offered in 1.6L petrol (121bhp) and 1.4L diesel engines (89bhp). In terms of features it will be equipped with a black radiator grille, black body claddings, body colored ORVMs and door handles, 16 inch alloy wheels, 2DIN music system with 4 speakers, CD/Aux-in/USB and I-pod support, rear AC vents, manual A/c, keyless entry, foldable key, tilt steering and ABS.
S (GL)Trim– The S variant gets electrically adjustable ORVMs with turn blinkers, front fog lights, rear defoggers, skid plates, chrome treated door handles, 5-inch touch infotainment system with bluetooth connectivity, adjustable driver seat, adjustable rear headrests and rear power socket. The S trim carries forward the engine options of base trim.
S+ Trim- Additional features of over S trim includes a audio video navigation (AVN), dual airbags, impact sensing auto door lock-unlock feature, shark fin antenna and rear parking sensors. In terms of engine, it will be getting only a 1.4L diesel engine.
Sx Trim– In addition to the feature on the S trims, the Sx variant comes equipped with automatic AC with cluster ionizer, projector headlamps with static bending light feature, electric folding mirrors, dual tone radiator grille, chrome garnish at rear, LED positioning lamp, climate control with color change system, rear wiper with washer, 16 inch silver alloy wheels and dual airbags. Engine option includes only a 1.6L diesel engine.
SX+ trim– The Sx+ trim come loaded with chrome door handles, shark fin antenna, 16” silver alloy wheels, rear defogger, rear parking camera with adaptive guidelines, FATC with cluster ionizer, child seat anchor, 60:40 rear seat spilt (only with AT), smart entry push button. This variant is available with 1.6L petrol and diesel engines while latter will be paired with manual and automatic transmissions.
SX (O)- This is the top variant of Creta, hence it will be loaded with all the features and equipments of former variants. In addition to it will be getting a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, AVN, faux leather upholstery, height adjustable seat belts, electronic stability control, hill start assist, vehicle stability management, supervision cluster, dual, side and curtain airbags, 17 inch diamond cut alloy wheels and rear parking camera with adaptive guideline sensors. The top most variant will come with only a 1.6L diesel mill.
Hyundai is betting big on compact SUV Creta as they are looking to increase their market share in the country and with such features, the car might lived up to the expectations of customers. It will be interesting to see at what price Hyundai will launch the baby SUV in India; we are expecting it in the range of Rs. 8-12 lakhs (ex-showroom) which is not a bad deal at all.
