The Creta, a compact SUV by South Korean carmaker which was launched in India in July 2015 is setting the sales chart on fire as it becomes the bestselling SUV in the country by retailing 7437 units. This impressive performance makes it to beat long time dominator Mahindra Bolero which only clocked around 4800 units in the month of August 2015. Creta’s arch rival, S-Cross also manages to sell only 4602 units last month, 2800 units less than the compact SUV.

With an exceptional performance of the compact SUV, company’s overall sales grew by 24.7 percent as compared to same month of last year. Moreover, the huge sales numbers are complimented by 40,000 confirmed bookings for the SUV which might result in longer waiting periods.
